Our customer base is hungry for more fresh produce than our current vendors can provide. How do we find more farmers willing to sell at our market?

One of the most common challenges facing farmers’ markets is sourcing primary producer (farmer) vendors. Having just returned from the ACORN conference, I can confidently say that most new farmers’ are starting organic farms and part of my role is making sure that they consider selling at farmers’ markets, as well as through CSAs (box delivery programs) and direct to stores and restaurants.
